On March 1, the trailer for the movie version of one of his best-known works, “Cherry Magic! Thirty Years of Virginity Can Make You a Wizard?! (abbreviated as Cherry Magic),” was released on TV Tokyo’s official YouTube page.
This drama is a love story featuring Adachi (Eiji Akaso) who, having celebrated his 30th birthday as a virgin, has acquired a “magic that allows him to read the minds of those he touches”. Thanks to the magic, Adachi realizes that his colleague at work, Kurosawa (Keita Machida) is in love with him and, Adachi and Kurosawa become lovers. Such a pure love story captured the hearts of many viewers, and even after the final episode, it still enjoys overwhelming support both in Japan and abroad.
