Conductor Seiji Ozawa celebrated his 87th birthday on September 1, 2022. He is a well-known international musician, having served as Music Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra for 30 years from 1973 to 2002, and as Music Director of the Vienna State Opera for eight years from 2002 to 2010, earning him the nickname “the World’s Ozawa”.
