C4 was formed in June 2007 by TOKI (Vo.), formerly of Kill=slayd, and Tomoi (Dr.), formerly of Laputa. The following year, their 1st full album “-Cyclotron 4-” was released, but REN (Ba.) left the band in June 2009. Junji (Ba.), formerly of Laputa, joined as REN’s successor, but Shunsuke (Gu.) left after the May 2010 show. The band went on hiatus for a while, but made a comeback with a revival live performance [-TOKYO/BURNING-] held in March 2011. Fans who had been waiting for the resumption of activities for many years rushed to the venue, and the resurrection concert was SOLD OUT.

On December 25 of the same year, Takayoshi Ohmura, who is well-known for his work with BABYMETAL’s backing band, Kami Band, officially joined the band at their live performance at “Shinjuku Bastion -Occupied LOFT at X’mas Night-“, marking their complete revival. The band is also active in charity activities, and on November 8, 2015, they performed at the “NPO JoinLIFE Organization PRESENTS Hope And Live – HIV/AIDS Treatment Support” charity concert to support HIV/AIDS carriers, which was held mainly by visual-kei rock bands. 7th full album “DETNIX” was released on November 27, 2019.

TOKI is the former vocalist of Kill=slayd, which made its major label debut in 1997, and is a close friend of GLAY. TAKURO (Gt.) of GLAY is the guitar composer in TOKI’s collaborative unit “STEALTH”.

Takayoshi Ohmura, in addition to his activities with C4, is a member of BABYMETAL’s backing band, Kami Band, and performs live exclusively. In addition to his musical activities, he is an instructor at MI Japan (Musician’s Institute Tokyo) in Tokyo, where he is responsible for the training of musicians.

Junji (Ba.) and Tomoi (Dr.) are former members of Laputa, which disbanded in 2004. Laputa was characterized by its delicate, technical tone and vocalist aki’s elongated singing ability. As a Nagoya-kei band, they excited many fans and dominated the V-kei music scene in the 90s and 00s.
